Soilfilms is an international female-powered production company founded by the four friends
and award-winning directors Catalina Flórez, Silvana Santamaria, Inga Bremer and Ayla Gottschlich.
We are producing our own films and the films of other great directors!
Inspired by people who make a difference, we tell stories through fiction films, documentaries and commercials.
Our passion is telling life from our diverse and female perspective.

We have more than ten years of experience in developing and producing fictional and documentary content in
the Mediterranean Region with focus on Tunisia, Spain, Sicily, and the Balkan as well as Turkey and Georgia
with our strong production partners in place.
We are collaborating for more than 20 years with our partners from the Caribbean territory, focusing on Cuba and Colombia.
Film Production Company
We direct and produce full-length features, documentaries and short formats for all kind of platforms, such as TV, cinema and the web. With all of us having a deep background in directing features, we know the production process in and out and always tailor it exactly to the needs of the director.

SILVANA SANTAMARIA is a German film director, screenwriter and producer residing in Berlin. She studied from 2004-2010 at the Film Acadamy Baden-Württemberg, where she met her partners of Soilfilms. In 2010 she was one of two scholarship holders at the Academy of Arts in Berlin in the „Film-Art“ section. From 2007-2010 she was a scholarship holder of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung during her studies. She successfully directed award winning films like “On Sufferance” and “Nowhere.Kosovo”. Her latest films are the productions “A Part Of Me” (2015-2018) (director, writer and producer), “Franco’s Legacy – Spain’s Stolen Children” (2016) (producer) and the feature film “Land of Light” (2013-2016) (producer), which was shot on the Turkish/Syrian border in 2014. From 2011 to 2012 Silvana Santamaria directed the award winning short film “Her letter to the wedding” with Corinna Harfouch in the leading role.
