Daniil Kremkin Actor

Contact

DANIIL KREMKIN (he/him) was born in 1997 in Saransk, Russia. He grew up in the small Russian town, where he attended an english gymnasium while simultaneously studying at an art school with a focus on design for several years.

In his youth, he pursued figure skating at a competitive level until around the age of 15. At the point where a decision about a professional Olympic career would have been required, he consciously chose not to follow the path of elite sports.

At 18, Daniil came to Germany as part of a student exchange program. Without any knowledge of German, he began working in a kindergarten and learned the language through everyday immersion. A few years later, he settled in Berlin and pursued his long-held ambition of becoming an actor.

Before beginning his acting studies, Daniil completed a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Psychotherapy at Freie Universität Berlin, with a focus on Clinical Psychology. During this time, he also worked for several years in therapeutic settings, including residential care and day clinics for severely traumatized adolescents and adults.

He began his acting training in 2022 at the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF, where he is due to graduate in 2026. Prior to this, he gained his first stage experience at the State Theatre in Saransk, where he performed for over two years in his hometown.

He became known to a wider audience through his portrayal of the architect and engineer “Max Jordan,” one of the leading roles in the ARD event miniseries Schwarzes Gold, directed by Nina Wolfrum and Tim Trachte.

A central artistic work for him is the feature film Interior, in which he played one of the lead roles. The film had its world premiere at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF) in 2025, where it received the Audience Award, and is set for German theatrical release in 2026.

Shaped by growing up in socially challenging environments, by his experiences as a queer person, and by his academic background in psychology as well as his extensive work in therapeutic contexts, Daniil seeks in acting a kind of alchemy that allows lived pain to be transformed into presence.

Daniil speaks German, English, and Russian at a native level, and is also fluent in Flemish. In addition to his acting work, he possesses strong physical abilities, including gymnastics and acrobatics.
