Maria Agni
Geboren in Wladimir, UdSSR, und aufgewachsen in Erlangen. Schauspielstudium an der GITIS Theaterkunstakademie in Moskau. Seit über 10 Jahren lebt und arbeitet sie in Berlin als freischaffende Schauspielerin, Regisseurin und Theaterpädagogin.
Maria hat in zahlreichen Theaterproduktionen unterschiedlicher Genres mitgewirkt, darunter „Flüchtlingsgespräche“ von B. Brecht, eine site-specific Performance am Ostbahnhof in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Festival of Arts „The Access Point“ St. Petersburg und dem Brecht-Haus Berlin, sowie „DAU. FREIHEIT“, ein interdisziplinäres Kunstprojekt. Zu ihren weiteren Projekten zählen „Kommunalka 09010“ am Ballhaus Ost Berlin und „Das OPFER, und sein Kampf“, ein Stück über Verschwörungstheorien und Antisemitismus.
Als Schauspielerin, Theaterpädagogin und Kuratorin entwickelt sie neue pädagogische Methoden und widmet sich der dramaturgischen Forschung zu politischen und historischen Themen, insbesondere zur Erinnerungskultur. Vor Kurzem debütierte sie als Übersetzerin, als sie für das Antikriegsfestival "Echo. Ljubimovka" zwei Stücke aus dem Russischen ins Deutsche übertrug. Zudem ist Maria in zivilgesellschaftlichen Initiativen und Menschenrechtsprojekten aktiv und unterstützt Menschen im Exil.
