Stephanie Marin
Stephanie Marin, born in Munich and of Romanian descent, completed her training at the Bavarian Theatre Academy August Everding. She further expanded her craft through workshops, masterclasses and coaching sessions with, among others, Lene Beyer, Luci Lenox and Ivana Chubbuck.
Since graduating in 2009, she has appeared on numerous major stages, including the Residenztheater Munich, the Metropoltheater Munich and the Staatstheater Augsburg. She also works regularly in film and television, with credits in Polizeiruf 110, Die Rosenheim-Cops and various other productions.
Alongside her stage and on-camera work, she frequently records for dubbing and studio productions as both an actress and singer. She has, among other roles, provided the German voice for soul icon Patti LaBelle.
Her repertoire spans drama (A Dream Play, NoPlanet B), musical theatre (Rent, Spamalot, Fiddler on the Roof), operetta and singspiel (The Threepenny Opera, The White Horse Inn) as well as contemporary opera (President Jekyll).
In 2024, she was invited to the Bavarian Theatre Days with her solo piece The Tell-Tale Heart, the world premiere of a contemporary chamber opera, as well as the dark musical satire Slippery Slope.
In 2019, she played the female lead in the feature film All in One Boat, and she continues to appear regularly in television productions such as Polizeiruf 110 Munich, SOKO Stuttgart, Hubert ohne Staller, Himmel, Herrgott, Sakrament and Die Rosenheim-Cops.
She has been teaching voice for more than 15 years and leads her own course, Acting for Singers.
